Dinner tonight was a bit fancy, and not very "locavore". We had "temaki zushi", which means hand-rolled sushi. The only thing homegrown tonight were the Perilla leaves. They add a very distinct (but delicious, in my opinion) aroma that compliments the fresh fish. The fish was Albacore Tuna. The center orange stuff in the bowl is "masago"or Caplin Roe. The Avocados and Cucumber were bought at the Farmer's Market. The sushi nori (seaweed) was store-bought. It was very fresh & tasty, my son had 8 rolls, I think I did too!
