Harvest Updates May 8th

So, all these harvests are since the last update on May 5th. This is a LOT of food in just 3 days!!!  Not including this morning's harvest yet either.  As you can imagine our fridges are full!  It's a good thing we have 2 fridges.
NZ Spinach and Shungiku
Cilantro and Strawberries
Bok Choi, Komatsuna and the remaining broad beans
Here my mom is helping me shell the broad beans
"V" for victory! hehe. Just finished harvesting the carrots. Happy Mother's Day Mom.
Here's the very blemished carrots, we'll use those up first
And here are the nice beautiful carrots all washed up. We use the wash water on the lawn and whatever else needs some water. We try our best to conserve the water since CA is a desert and we import water from CO. (If you want to learn more about that watch Blue Gold:World Water Wars
More NZ Spinach!
Celery, Cilantro, Green Beans and a bit of Strawberries
More Strawberries, some Cucumbers, a Zucchini and a little Bok Choi

I was watching a show called "Off Limits" last night and they did a story on the aqueduct that brings water from CO to Los Angeles. The show's host actually went inside (with a vehicle) the aqueduct. There were still tools left from builders who when the built it 100 years ago. It was pretty crazy. But yeah, it's very wise that you conserve water like you do because if something were to happen to that pipe coming in from CO, that's very bad news for Los Angeles
