A learning journey of a city-slicker dreaming to live off of the land as much as possible, trying my hand at growing as much food as possible on a regular city plot. City Farm in the making with lots of pictures!
Wow...looks like the kernels didn't develop on half of the cob. What could be the cause?
Hi M, it's because of a lack of pollination. Not enough pollen from surrounding corn stalks. I only had one row of corn. Usually you want about 3 rows for pollination. At least there were no worms in them!
Browsing your blog posts and great photos everywhere of your crops... you've had quite a nice harvest this year! You should be proud! Can I hear "Freedom Gardens" award winner for best garden?
hehehe, thanks D! It's my first time, so I was surprised I got that much. It's been fun. I hope take notes next year, thanks for the idea! Right now all I do is take pictures and weigh them. I hope I can do better next year!
